d**n it can people please pick up after themselves at the beach?

i surf and i go into the water and everyonce in a while i will run into a paint can a soda can. one time a boat leaked and their was tar every wear. your gonna make my ocean sick. oh also one time when i was walking towards the beach i ran into a condom, i swear if i ever see one those in the water and touch it the next time i see a van a rockin i'm going to pop its tires.

yeah tell me about it!!!!! where i live, the ocean is at the bottom of my road. I go there often, and also with my kids and grand kids and SUMMER is  NIGHTMARE! no-one minds the tourists but do we HAVE to put up with all the cr*p they leave behind! How would THEY like it if we went to they're area and left the same rubbish on they're doorsteps they leave on ours! it may be hard for they're tiny minds to comprehend but we don't want to walk along our beach or swim in the sea having DODGED they're discarded bratts nappies and food containers! THIS year there is going to be a lot of money made from tourists as it's now ILLEGAL to drop and leave litter! Even dropping a discarded cigarette end incurrs an £80 fine! yes! at last! bring it on!!!!

No that would be too easy, no they have to leave us to pick up their mess, and put out their campfires.   I once had to rescue a duck that got its feet tangled in fishing line.  It sad how people act when they think that no one is watching.

Ted Kennedy Dumps Fuel into Nantucket Sound

Ted Kennedy has called Nantucket Sound near his Massachusetts estate “a national treasure” — but that didn’t stop the senator from having oil dumped from his yacht into its waters.

A local photographer spotted an oil slick coming from Kennedy’s yacht Mya as Kennedy and his guests left the vessel in a launch following a race that ended in Hyannis, the Cape Cod Today newspaper reported.

The lensman was so shocked that he rowed his dinghy out to question the crew member left aboard the yacht.

He asked the crewman, “What the h**l are you doing?”

The crewman said that diesel fuel had gotten into the bilge and he was told to dump it.

When the photographer pointed out that the yacht was moored in coastal waters near shellfish beds and people swimming, the crewman replied, “Whatever.”

Cape Cod Today published a photo showing the oil slick emanating from Mya.

As Newsmax reported earlier, Kennedy has opposed a proposal to construct a wind farm in Nantucket Sound to produce cheap, clean energy. Asked why, he said: “That’s where I sail.”

Here in RI, it's a huge problem as well. There has been a movement to try to get the beaches cleaned up, but I have not noticed much improvement.

Then again, the whole stinking state is covered in litter. I come home from work every day and have to pick up bottles and cans and cigarette butts out of my yard. People are just incredibly incosiderate!!!

I know, It sickens me when I see beer bottles floating in the water. They end up smashing on the rocks and get swept up to the beach. Little kids or anyone can get glass in their feet! Some people make me sick!

I ALWAYS pick up after myself at the beach.  After I pick up the soda cans, the wrappers, the expended plutonium rods and other debris I dropped, I use a huge shop vac to suck up all that messy sand they have laying around out there.
