Question:

Damp wood and semi-gloss paint peeling away?

I had a painter come out and paint my house with exterior semi-gloss paint and while he was painting my house it rained one day. Could that fact that it rained and the wood got a little damp, cause the paint to start to peel away after only a week or so of being painted?

wood should be completely dry before painting, otherwise you seal the moisture in. Wood swells when its wet and shrinks when its dry, thus pait peeling off. All paint has a little give or elasticity to it, to accomodate season changes. But not that dramatic.

Call the painter, they should fix it no charge, or you can sue.
