Dan Carter helps All Blacks win 30-14 over Wallabies: Second half Update - Tri Nations news

The Wallabies, who dominated both ball and territory possession in the first-half were unable to score un til after the intermission.  At the start of the second half at Eden Park, Wallabies
were found trailing by 17 points, mainly because of the chances missed and some spectacular tackling by none other than Dan Carter. However the match ended its second-half with a solid 30-14 win for the New Zealand squad.

The Wallabies started the second half strongly but failed to get possession of the ball mid-way through the first ten minutes of the second-half. All Blacks, as they did all match, were strong
with the counter attack, as Carter scored his first drop goal of the match in the 46th minute.
All Blacks were on the offence, were close to the Wallabies try line before their lock James Horwill reclaims the ball and pass it to scrum half Will Genia. Genia passed it on to their full
back Kurtley Beale to hand it over to the Digby Ioane, who raced away to score the Wallabies first try of the match. Cooper followed with the conversion to reduce Wallabies deficit to 13 points, in the 52nd minute.
All Blacks were quick to respond as they sent their winger Sitiveni Sivivatu to score his second try of the game in the 54th minute.  Carter followed with his conversion to leave
the visitors trailing by 20 points. 
In the following passage of the play, All Blacks enjoyed the both the ball and territory possession as they firmer their control over the game.  After playing for approximately five minutes
on their try line, All Blacks finally earned a penalty on which Carter successful scored to take the lead to 23 points.
With over 12 minutes remaining in the game, the All Blacks were set to retain the Bledisloe Cup title, as Wallabies find it hard to score. For Wallabies, their flanker Rocky Elsom snatched
the ball from the lineout to turn over the possession. Cooper mad an impressive pass to Ioane who forwarded the ball to Elsom, who eventually managed to cross the try line to score the Wallabies second try, in the 75th minute of the game. Cooper
followed with his conversion to take the scorecard reading 30 – 14.  
In the last few minutes of the game, All Blacks tried their best to score their bonus point try, as the scorecard remained the same at the end of the second-half. Carter scored 15 points in
the game and more importantly delivered an all round performance to register the All Blacks second win in the 2011 Tri Nations tournament.
