Dan Lozano reported to be sleazy in dealings but Albert Pujols reassures of support -MLB Update
In recent articles that were published about one of the biggest names on the Major League Baseball list of agents, Dan Lozano, which reportedly uncovers the dirty truth about his way of dealing while signing players and the techniques he uses in order to
lure players in his path, but on the other hand, Lozano is termed equally as successful and credible.
At a time when the offseason is in progress, involving a series of negotiations for different players which Lozano at the moment is representing and may even be on his way to conferring one of the biggest contracts in sports history, this is regarded to
something which can truly tarnish his image.
But as the drama continues, one of his biggest clients, baseman Albert Pujols, who himself is in the process of getting a deal done, has announced his support for Lozano, adding that he will stay behind him no matter what.
"I am absolutely staying with Danny as my agent," Pujols said when reached in Hawaii while on a family vacation. "And he will continue to negotiate my free agent contract. I am embarrassed for the people who are behind this. I want to make sure that people
hear that."
On the website the article was published, it termed Lozano as someone who will do anything for power and money through the use of any means possible, adding that the use of prostitutes and extensive lying is something he is accustomed to.
In order to look into the incident, Lozano’s lawyer, Martin Singer, who has been with the defamed agent for the last couple of months, has termed the article as totally false and inaccurate, which they are planning to take legal action against in due time.
"We are looking at all of our legal options," Singer said Wednesday. "At the end of the day we would probably look at going after the unidentified sources who tried to smear him."
At the moment, it is still unclear that the allegations against the agent of a number of big wigs in the league like Pujols along with Jimmy Rollins, Carlos Beltran, Alex Rodriguez, Joey Votto, Michael Young and Brian Wilso, are true or not and waiting for
further developments is the only way this issue can be approached.
