So what was Dana White's announcement that was supposed to be on last Thursday but was pushed to this Wednesday?

Lorenzo Fertitta, the president of one of the most successful casino chains in Las Vegas, resigned his position with Station Casinos on Wednesday to work full-time with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

One of the Fertitta brothers is going to focus 100% on UFC and stop working wih the casinos. Not what I wanted to hear, but I still feel like this is a good, important thing. The UFC should have all hands on deck no that there is going to be true competition. Affliction really looks promising.

The NYSAC didnt sanction MMA in New York like he expected them to, and the Lorenzo Fertitta thing was most likely going to happen anyway so they probably decided to go ahead and let that be the announcment.

The announcement was appraently never supposed to be a huge public ordeal it was just supposed to be an internal big deal.  

The huge announcement is that Lorenzo Fertitta has resigned his position with Palace Cainos to be involved full time with the UFC.

he did an interview and he himself said he had all these big announcements to make and even his boss didn't know what he was going to announce and was going to shake up the industry...etc..etc

then comes back and tries to make it seem like it was no big deal

just means what he wanted to fall through...didn't.
