Dana White: No possibility of Michael Bisping-Anderson Silva bout in United Kingdom – UFC news
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White has completely put an end to the controversy and has silenced the critics regarding the possibility of conducting a Michael Bisping and Anderson Silva bout in United Kingdom.
According to the details forwarded by UFC representatives in the media, some sources were predicting rather advising that if Bisping gets a chance to take on Silva, the battle for the gold should take place in UK.
Dana White has brought UFC to a stature where it has become the apex platform for the mixed martial art fans, fighters, and lovers who reside all around the world and try their level best to show their guts in the hardcore, bloody octagonal ring. White is
right as far as the business point of view is concerned.
Anderson Silva, the current middleweight title-holder is a Brazilian and Brazil, as quoted by White himself is ‘the new Mecca of martial arts’. The Latin South American country has produced top notch UFC fighters and in ample amount. The Brazilians expertise
in the trade of mixed martial art fighting is evident from the fact that three out of a total seven championships are held by the Brazil natives.
According to the news Dana needed to formally make this announcement since it was predicted that Bisping, who is bound to take on Chael Sonnen at UFC on Fox 2, if wins will take UFC and Silva to United Kingdom, his home country, for the championship fight.
Dana has totally rebutted the argument by saying, “The answer, hands down, is Brazil. You could do an 80,000-seater soccer stadium down there.”
Dana while seconding his decision said, “50 million people will watch live on television... remember all the stuff I used to say about Canada? Brazil wins. Brazil is the new Mecca of martial arts.”
A look at the above comment clearly states that the venue for the upcoming middleweight division championship fight is definitely Brazil and that Silva will get the home advantage substantially.
Michael Bisping will, in UFC on Fox 2, exchange fists with Chael Sonnen in Chicago, Illinois. The winner of this bout will become eligible to fight Silva with his title on the line.
But Bisping has to face a bit difficulty if he losses. If Michael kneels down in front of Sonnen, as per Dana White’s directives, the Briton will then get a rematch and we will see a second episode of Sonnen-Bisping bout in summers. Four days are left and
both men will collide each other to get the position of number one contender for middleweight title.
Bisping is dubbed as a legend in UK and is the one and only UFC fighter who has reached the top in the whole of UK and this fight against his fellow trash talker Briton Sonnen will definitely help him in making his fellow nationals proud.
