Dana White: Rampage is obviously not happy with the UFC – UFC News
Things between Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and UFC President Dana White have become hotter than ever. In his recent interview, Jackson said that he will quit UFC after competing in one last match to fulfil his contractual obligation. Earlier today, Dana White
replied to the remarks made by Jackson, saying that if Jackson wants to quit, it is no big deal.
White outrightly said that if Jackson wants to quit then he can go. He added, “'Rampage' is obviously not happy with the UFC – no big deal, brother. I'll have a conversation with 'Rampage' and think we're cool, and then I'll read other stuff. As far as money
goes, everybody needs to make more money. You making enough money? Nobody here is, right? Everybody needs to make more money. That's human nature. What we do is we go and negotiate deals that work for everybody. We've been good to everybody we've ever dealt
with. We've never screwed anybody over, including 'Rampage.'”
According to White, the organisation has been good to everybody and has not ‘screwed’ anyone. White even said that he has given Jackson top shots quite a lot but Jackson could never prove his mettle. White then said that if Jackson is unhappy with the organisation
and wants to quit then the feeling is mutual on both ends.
Jackson, in his recent interview, lashed out on Dana White and UFC saying that he is being manhandled. He added that he does not fight for money, and that he will leave UFC and fight elsewhere for free to prove that money means nothing to him. He even said
that fighters who are not worth the shot are on top while he never gets the chance of going beyond the mark.
While Jackson believes he is an important participant in the UFC, White has clearly indicated he is not. The way White has spoken regarding the whole issue, it seems like the UFC does not want Jackson anymore. In other words, Jackson seems like a ‘replaceable’
asset for the organisation now. Besides, with Jackson’s ongoing knee injuries, he no longer is the big fish in the sea.
