Dana White indicates Michael Bisping vs. Anderson Silva – UFC News
Briton fighter Michael Bisping surprised everyone with his performance at UFC 152. He completely dismantled his opponent Brian Stann to grab the victory via unanimous decision. So much so, even president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship Dana White,
who never backed Bisping, is impressed. According to White, a fight between Bisping and current middleweight champion Anderson Silva would be exciting.
It should be noted here that Bisping has been demanding a title shot for quite some time now. However, to his dismay, White and other officials never considered him good enough. Last month, Bisping revealed that he was promised a title shot by UFC officials
if he defeats Stann in a dominating manner. Since he has accomplished what he was told to, Bisping is now eager to know what White is planning.
On the other hand, White claimed that he spoke with his officials and they all believe that a fight between Bisping and Silva would be interesting.
“Me and (UFC matchmaker) Joe Silva were talking earlier tonight, and I said, 'I think a fight with Bisping and Anderson (Silva) is an interesting fight.'” Said White.
“Bisping always brings it, always fights hard, (is) well-rounded, talented … I'm running around your question like a mother,” he added.
“This 185-pound division is so stacked. It's funny because at one point, everyone was talking about who's next. Well, there's a line of guys who are next. I don't know what's next. I know Bisping looked great tonight, and he always comes to fight.”
For now, White is hopeful that Bisping will soon get the desired shot. Previously, White revealed that the number one contender to fight for the crowd is American fighter Chris Weidman. Later on, plans were changed and it was announced that the winner of
Bisping vs. Stann would face the winner of Weidman vs. Tim Boetsch. A fight between Weidman and Boetsch is scheduled for this fall.
If Bisping can defeat Weidman, there is no way he will not get a shot against Silva. If Weidman is the number one contender then Bisping needs to defeat him to get to  Silva.
