Dana White not ready to pay Dennis Hallman $60k – UFC News
President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship Dana White is not in favour of paying $60k to 16-year-old veteran Dennis Hallman, who stands with 51 wins, 14 losses and 2 ties in MMA, and 4 win and 5 losses in UFC.
White has never been fond of Hallman, but the latter’s family issues compelled White to pay him more than what anyone could expect. This time, however, White believes cutting Hallman a check of $60,000 was a stupid decision but a simple and straightforward
one.
“It's not like me and Hallman have had the most fantastic relationship on earth,” said White. “But I'm a human being, and I feel for the guy. He's got a lot of personal problems that he needs to handle. I hope that the show and win money that I gave him
helps him and his family to fix whatever needs to be fixed and the guy doesn't lose everything.”
“Personally, business-wise, it was the stupidest f------ thing in the world to do. As a human being, it was what I wanted to do,” he added.
White then revealed that Hallman was unable to make weight and he was unable to accept fights. According to White, Hallman not making weight was the most unprofessional thing to do.
White spoke of Hallman’s financial problems, saying that everyone faces such situations in life and that in such times it becomes hard to prepare for fights. However, according to White, with the Hallman is taking things, he will not only damage his career
but others’ too.
White seems pretty upset with Hallman, asserting that the veteran needs to fight in order to make money. White was furious over the fact that Hallman is not fighting and he is losing money.
According to the President, it is about time for Hallman to realise that he needs to act responsible if he wants to stay in the business. When asked about Hallman’s personal issues, White refused to comment on them saying he does not want to discuss Hallman’s
life.
For now, White is upset regarding the entire scenario, and he hopes that Hallman will show better efforts in the future.
