Dana White on Mayhem Miller’s remarks – UFC News
UFC president Dana White shared his disappointment over the Twitter bicker with Mayhem Miller, former Strikeforce and DREAM title challenger who made his return to UFC in 2011 as a coach at The Ultimate Fighter 14.
In a recent interview, White spoke about his twitter bickering with Miller. According to White, it was unbelievable for him to realise he was part of a bitter quarrel.
“It actually bummed me out all day because I didn't want to do that. It sucked,” said White.
Miller was released by the UFC by the UFC after he lost to coach Michael Bisping in December and then lost to C.B. Dolloway. Miller currently stands with 0 wins and 3 losses in the UFC, including his 2005 defeat to Georges St-Pierre.
Miller tried to cover up his part of retirement from UFC by saying UFC president Dana White never begged him to retire and it was his own decision. White immediately took note of the Tweet and replied, “lol retire Mayhem I'M BEGGIN U!!!”
As a reply to White’s tweet, Miller’s tweet came in, “Kill yourself @danawhite we are all begging you.”
White’s final response was a bit aggressive, “don't get [expletive] bummed out u asked me!!”
Later on, White realised that the entire situation became bitter than he thought. He initially thought Miller was kidding but after a challenge from the former fighter, White knew things got serious.
“He sent that tweet, I tweeted back, and I was joking,” was White’s statement after UFC 150 past Saturday.
“And as the tweeting went on, you saw – that kid's on medicine, he has some issues, and the last thing I want to do is have that kid more bummed out and depressed than he already is. He started talking like a jackass on Twitter, so I blasted him back. Now
I kind of wish I didn't,” White added.
White even said that Miller has always been a fun person to interact with, which is why he thought the former fighter is fooling around. Now, White feels disappointed with the entire scenario, believing Miller’s comments were unwanted and out of the way.
