Dana White promises better UFC in the future – UFC News
President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship Dana White has promised fans that things will be a lot better in the coming days. While most people UFC is ‘success’ for MMA, White has asserted that the present is nothing near to what they have in mind.
“Regardless of my age, a lot of things need to be done,” said White in an interview with UFC Tonight. “I believe me and the Fertittas and our crew at Zuffa have built a pretty awesome road map and game plan of where this thing is going to go.”
White has served as the President of UFC for almost eleven years, and he has done good. During his tenure, he has recruited fighters who have given UFC the much needed boost. Adding Brock Lesnar to the show was White’s decision and it worked wonders for
the organisation.
“This thing is nowhere near where it's going to be. Every day I go to work and I know what has to be done, but it's the stupid stuff that happens that I have to deal with that takes you off track and you maybe get to spend two hours dealing with the stuff
you have to do. It's all the BS and the fires that come up,” White added while talking about the ups and downs within the organisation.
White has been a key player in brokering UFC-Fox deal. He also played a major role in expanding the UFC brand throughout the world. Today, UFC is the trademark of MMA. Any fighter who wants to hit the peak think of being in the UFC, thanks to Dana White
who has taken the organisation to such a level.
For now, White has promised that the organisation is working on eliminating the several issues that UFC has, due to which events and fights are cancelled. White is probably referring to the injury bug, about which he has been talking about for quite some
time. Recently, a couple of fights were cancelled and an event, which has made White realised that he needs to fix these issues before fans start getting disappointed.
