Dana White reveals he had the worst meeting with Brock Lesnar – Boxing News
After spotting Brock Lesnar at UFC 146, many reporters and fans thought that the former UFC champion would make his ring return to the largest MMA fighting platform. However, Dana White has revealed that he has had the worst ever meeting with Brock Lesnar.
In other words, White is hinting towards a no ring return for Lesnar.
Brock Lesnar left UFC earlier this year and shifted back to the World Wrestling Entertainment, WWE. However, his stay at WWE did not last for long after he was defeated by John Cena. At WWE, Brock Lesnar claimed he will bring legitimacy back to the sport
but he could not do it and he had to quit. He was then spotted at UFC 146, where he met White and asked him for a one on one meeting, to which White agreed.
When asked about the meeting, White said, “The meeting did not go well.” He added, “It's one of those things (where) it's not worth getting into it publicly. It's not worth getting into the B.S. over it.”
White then revealed that Lesnar wanted to come to UFC 146 and he had taken prior permission from him. White revealed, “He texted me and said, 'I want to come to the fight, but keep it quiet because I don't want to tell anybody. He said, 'What are you doing
tonight? ... I want to talk face to face.'”
Lesnar currently stands as a retired UFC fighter with 5 wins and 3 losses in MMA and 4 wins and 3 losses in UFC. He won the heavyweight title by defeating Randy Couture at UFC 91. Lesnar then successfully defended the title against Frank Mir and Shane Carwin
but eventually lost it to Cain Valasquez at UFC 121.
Even though Lesnar was not a great UFC fighter, his popularity gave enormous boost to the show. When he transferred from the WWE to UFC, fans all around the world wanted to see ‘The Next Big Thing’ fight in real. Probably, this is the reason why Lesnar believes
he is the man behind UFC’s success today as a sport.
