Dana White shocked over Anderson Silva’s reaction to Chael Sonnen – UFC News
President of UFC Dana White was shocked listening to UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva’s reply to Chael Sonnen. Silva, who usually plays the quiet one, lashed out over Chael Sonnen, his UFC 148 opponent. Silva vowed that he would break Sonnen’s every
limb and every tooth. While White expects such trash-talk from Sonnen, he was appalled at the sight of the words coming out of Silva’s mouth.
Replying to Sonnen’s verbal assault, Silva commented, “What I'm going to do inside the Octagon is something that's going to change the image of the sport. I'm going to make sure every one of his teeth are broken, his arms are broken, his legs are broken.
He's not going to be able to walk out of the Octagon by himself. I can guarantee that.”
White was blown out of the water listening to Silva. He iterated, “I've promoted every Anderson Silva fight since he's been in the UFC and I've never heard him talk even remotely close to this.” It should be noted here that last week White praised Silva
by calling him the best fighter in the history of the sport. Probably, White did not expect such verbal assaults from Silva but now he knows that even the best and most sober fighter in the sport can come up with verbal brutality.
Retaliating to Silva’s comments, a shocked Sonnen said that he only has two words for Silva, which were ‘medium’ and ‘rare’. Sonnen added that his rematch against Silva is the biggest match of UFC history. According to Sonnen, there has never been a fight
in the history of this sport that has pulled in such emotions from the fans, media and even the fighters who are participating in the event.
Sonnen and Silva are scheduled to face each other in a rematch at UFC 148 in July. The event was previously scheduled to be held in Rio de Janeiro but was shifted to Las Vegas due to logistic issues that the organisation faced. For not, UFC is anticipating
more than 1 million of pay-per-view sack up. Even White agrees to the fact that the rematch between Sonnen and Silva will be the biggest fight of the sport’s history.
