Dana White shrugs off rumours of Brock Lesnar’s return – UFC News
While most fans are eagerly hoping for the ‘The Next Big Thing’ Brock Lesnar to return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship, President Dana White has put a full stop to the story. Lesnar, who is currently working with the World Wrestling Entertainment,
is a former UFC heavyweight champion. Lesnar fought his last UFC bout against Alistair Overeem. He lost and announced his retirement, which was attributed to the abdominal issues he was facing.
Recently, Lesnar made his WWE return against former WWE champion John Cena. Although Lesnar was the tougher opponent in the ring, he suffered a defeat at the hands of the ‘You can’t see me’ superstar. Following the shocking defeat, there were rumours of
Lesnar making his UFC comeback. Even Dana White confirmed that Lesnar was on the verge of doing so but the duo could not come to a deal.
“There's so many new up-and-coming guys right now, which is very exciting,” said White with Dave & Mahoney Radio Show. “Bigfoot Silva looked good in his last fight so yes, the heavyweight division looks awesome. He's done. He called me a couple days ago.
He's never coming back. He just said he can wrestle, but he can't fight. He was contemplating coming back. Neither is Fedor. They're both retired.”
Unfortunately, Lesnar’s fans will have to live with the fact that the former champion is not able to fight anymore. During his last fight, Overeem attacked Lesnar’s mid-section, establishing the fact that Lesnar’s mid-section has indeed become his weakness.
For now, White has completely ended the story with Lesnar, emphasizing on the fact that ‘The Next Big Thing’ is no longer in the mood to fight. It seems like Lesnar will spend most of the time in the WWE ring fighting against opponents who are hardly of
any match to him.
Lesnar holds the record of being the youngest World Wrestling Entertainment champion to date. He is one of the most famous WWE wrestlers of all time, having fought with legends like Hulk Hogan, Triple H and The Rock, and he is making sure to make his WWE
career even more memorable.
