Dana White speaks about Anderson Silva’s legacy – UFC News
President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship Dana White spoke his heart out in an interview with MMA Crazy TV. He hinted towards a possible fight between Anderson Silva and Michael, and even spoke about the position Anderson Silva is and why he wants
to fight every other fighter in the division.
According to White, Anderson Silva has achieved it all and so he wants to try out new things.
“I think Anderson Silva is one of those guys, I mean, he's broken every record in UFC history, I think he's gonna get to the point where he wants to challenge himself and try new things,” said White. “Try Georges St. Pierre, try Jon Jones.”
White then spoke of a possible fight between Jon Jones and Anderson Silva. Jones, the light heavyweight champion, vs. Silva, the middleweight champion, would be a huge fight, according to White. He even spoke of a fight between Silva and Georges St-Pierre,
the current welterweight titlist, saying it would be yet another epic battle and probably the first ever super-fight of UFC.
Unexpectedly, White showed interest in a fight between Michael Bisping and GSP, which he previously never did. Michael Bisping recently defeated Brian Stann at UFC 152 in a dominating manner, something he promised before the fight. He earned the respect
of not only White but even fans all around the world.
Bisping has been one of the most controversial figures in the history of UFC. His notorious wins have made him the centre of attention for a lot of criticism. However, now, it seems like the doubts against Bisping are being erased.
“I've got to be honest with you, I like Bisping vs. Anderson. I think that Bisping doesn't get the credit he deserves for as good of a fighter as he is. I've always thought Bisping looked good. I've always thought his wrestling was way underrated, I thought
his striking was underrated,” said White.
It seems like it is about time for Bisping to get the title shot he deserves. If he had not lost to Chael Sonnen last year, probably he would have been the man fighting Silva at UFC 148.
