Dana White talks about Quinton Jackson’s love and hate for UFC – UFC News
Quinton Jackson is known all around for being a fighter who one day loves the sport and the other day hates it. Fans know by now that Rampage Jackson’s statements are merely there to create hype and nothing else. Not just fans, even President of UFC Dana
White knows for sure that Quinton Jackson has a bunch of words to utter, some in favour and some in opposition to the sport.
“Rampage loves us one minute and hates us the next. He loves this sport, hates it the next. Loves the media and hates it the next. I don't have that type of relationship with Rampage at all. I don't dislike or hate him,” said White in the post-press conference
of UFC 149.
He added, “It's all good, it's up to him, it's his life. It's not one of these things where I'm like, 'Oh, God, Rampage, don't do this.' It's Rampage's life. If you decide you don't want to be here anymore, or don't want to fight anymore, we're not going
to hold you down and keep you to it. Me and Rampage had this conversation and he said, 'If that's true, Cut me from my contract right now.' And I said, 'Dude, we've had your back every step of the way, we've honored every contract that we've ever had with
you - honor yours.' He said, 'Fair enough, That's true. You're right. I will honor my contract.”
White is known for being a man who knows well how to handle his fighters. He has faced athletes who dislike him, yet he has not let the hatred affect the sport. Previously, it was Tito Ortiz who lashed out on Dana White on several occasions and so did they
President, but the grudges never affected UFC in its entirety.
As for Jackson, White believes every fighter has his regrets and accomplishments, and they trash-talk about their regrets to cover up their negatives.
It is a plain justification by White that indeed leads to the truth. Rampage Jackson has repeatedly spoken of leaving the organisation yet he is here, which indicates he has a place for the organisation in his heart.
