Dana White was right?

Question

As much as I don't like the guy, he seems to have hit the nail on the head about Elite XC, they are a joke. Anyone else feel a little bit different about Dana because of this farce of a showing of Elite XC? I know I do. I had criticized him in the past for some of his promotion tactics, but its pretty clear he cares more about the integrity of the sport than Gary Shaw.

UFC is the leader of mma organizations, every other organizations are just following in their footsteps because of the growing popularity and a chance to make money for big companies.  

i don't really like dana white, but at least his interest is to have mma grow with some respect and intergrity.  gary shaw is a boxing promoter and didn't even like mma, but there is money to be made so he likes it now.  

as long as there are "fighters" like kimbo, bob sapp, hong man choi, etc. mma will be a circus.

until there are legitimate athletes competing, like the ufc.

but lately i am wondering about these overhyped TUF fighters.

I felt this way about Elite XC even before tonight. It's a joke and it will never be a respectful MMA organization. It's boarderline to the WWE.

The UFC has established itself as the dominant MMA promotion. It has all of the money and it will get all of the good fighters. Elite XC will never catch up, nor will any other promotion.

it was a pretty fun night tonight. but if you put kimbo into the ufc, he would not be a big threat.

the other guys/ gals are up and comers. trying to get their name out there. so i dont take anything away from them.

EliteXC is nowhere near as good as UFC. Then again, UFC wasn't that great their first few years, either. It takes time to build up a quality organization with solid fighters and solid match-ups.  They don't have the money to throw around that UFC does.
