Question:

Dance Auditioning?

I'm going to a dance program this summer, and I know that I'm not as advanced of a dancer as many of the others going. I don't always pick up things as quickly, but I practice repeatedly and I think I would benefit more from a faster-paced advanced class. The first day, there'll be a screening where we'll have to pick up choreography quickly and perform it in front of the teachers. What can I do during this screening so that I don't end up in an easy class with kids way younger than me?

  2. Just go to the audition with an open mind and do all you can. Be bold, don't show your nerves and with a bucket load of confidence no-one will know if you have gone wrong. I know this might sound really cliche, but if you keep well hydrated you will stay more focused and you should pick it up. Dance your heart out!!!! Good luck xx

  3. Keep a smile on your face. Keep your body movements sharp and through. If you mess up, keep going. STRECH BEFORE YOU GO!!! You must make sure your muscles aren't tight, so strech very good. Have some confidence in yourself! Dance is a love, and an art. Keep that in mind(:
