We are having a reception at a nice restaraunt. We have room for a Dance floor area and plan on having a DJ but the area is thin nice carpet. I am going to section off the area to separate the dance area from the rest but is it OK to have carpet. The dance floor rentals are Way out of our budget and out of the area. Also what Ideas could I use to seperate the area from the rest to give it the dance floor feel.

Thanks

  1. how about columns of balloons on four sides with lights going around OR an arch of balloons-they ae cheaper and if you can do it yourself with help of the family it may be cheaper if you get your supplies from dollar store and go interent and find direstion of how to make it.

  2. craft shops and budget stores have some great decorations. Maybe you could check them out and find something nice like fairy lights or something. You will also finds great stuff to use as centrepieces for your tables etc

  3. I don't know what to suggest to partition it off but I can tell you that at my wedding we didn't rent a dance floor either - we just had the carpet.  It was completely fine.... no one even noticed that there wasn't a proper dance floor.  So don't stress over that at all, you, along with your guests will have much more important things on your mind that day.  Congratualtions on your wedding!
