Dance question- attitude turns?

how do you do a turn with one leg in attitude? do you turn to the outside (like a pique) or to the inside (like a pirouette) ? please provide a link if possible.... thanks so much! =)

  2. The trick to good attitude turns is plie and a good take off. Make sure your leg is in the proper position. Practice holding onto a barre first or a countertop or something. Start from 5th position and simply go up into attitude to make sure you have it correct. Then try the turn. Don't use too much force, but enough to get you around.

    Pique turns? Momentum is key. Always think UP. Spotting is key in all turns as well.

    Pirouettes? Inside turns? same as piques.

    i think an inside turn is easier

    just use your back leg to push you up into the turn

  4. You can turn either way in an attitude turn, but inside attitude turns are easier. To do an outside turn, you have to make sure you really cross your attitude and use the momentum to get around.
