Dance question-developpe and flexibility?

So basically I can do the splits and everything, but when it comes to doing the heel stretch and high kicks its as if my body just wont let it go higher. For instance say i lay on the ground, do the splits but when i go on my back and do the splits on my back and hold my leg with my arms it wont go very high. same thing in the air. And I can do the splits and fold over my leg with my whole upper body on my leg perfectly fine. Can anyone help me?

  1. strech alot, maybe 1/2 an hour everyday, then try doing those things. i found after accually ttrying to strech i could do alot more than i thought.


  2. no only u can help urself just keep stretching get a thera band yull get there eventually

  3. Some people have very stiff hip sockets, and it may be harder to do one thing than another. Since you can't really fix stiff hip sockets, i would advise to stretch. Stretching those stretches that are hard for you is best. When you can't do something very well in dance/stretching, the worst thing to do is ignore it. Hope this helps
