to be able to dance lyrical do i have to have previous dance training in something like jazz? or can i learn it with no experience?

No, just make sure you practice a lot so you don't fall behind. Experience isn't necessary, but it helps.

Lyrical is very similar to modern and ballet.  More of a modern ballet if you will.  Jazz will help but you really should have ballet training for lyrical as most of the moves and technique derive from it.

if its a beginner class then you dont have to have previous experience but previous jazz modern and ballet training help
