Question:

Dance stretch?

Okay, my danceline captain tells us to hold our ankles when we do the butterfly stretch.

But my pilates teacher tells us to hold our toes.

Why both?

And which one is right/best?

  1. I've heard you are supposed to hold your ankles, that's what my dance teacher says. I guess both are right, so just do what you think helps you stretch most.


  2. it is YOUR body so only YOU can tell which is better cos YOU feel the stretch not your instructors. The most they can do is tell you what they do and what they feel but it may be entirely different for you cos we all have different body structures here and there so you must FEEL it YOURSELF
