  1. Butterfly Kisses (Bob Carlisle) is great for a father daughter routine. Young dancers LOVE to dance to DISNEY music. try "Under the sea" or "Hakuna Mata-ta". I like Jackson five's ABC and Dancin' Machine. Those are cute songs.

    GOOD LUCK! and HAPPY DANCING!

  2. for the father daughter routine you can use "I learned from you" by Billyrae Cyrus and Miley Cyrus...

  3. ok well for the little ones stick to disney songs/soundtracks from the movies like cinderella and such and maybe disney mania  or like the disney princess cd those are great the little ones at my studio love them

as for the kids like 12+ id go for modern day songs or like 90s songs even but yeah just recent songs tht lots of ppl like and such....

in between the little ones and the  12+ id say like mainly 90s pop cuz it wasnt as inappropriate as it is now a days... so for them like 90s justin timberlake, nsync, backstreet boys, and other stuff like tht

  4. Here are some songs...

Ain't No Other Man- Christina Aguilera Cha Cha Heels-Rosabel Featuring Jeanie Tracy Don't Stop the Music- Rihanna Best Friend- Toni Collette & Tonya Pinkins Fever- Peggy Lee Popular- (from Wicked) Proud Mary- Tina Turner Party Girls- Ultra Nate Lets Get Loud- Jennifer Lopez Working 9-5- (sorry I dont know who this is by) There's No Business Like Show Business- (sorry I also dont know who this is by) Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy- (Any one would be good) Taking Care of Business- (sorry I dont know who this is by either) Great Balls of Fire, Splish Splash, Girlfriend- Avril Lavigne, Big Noise- Bette Midler and..... You Cant Stop The Beat- Nikki Blonsky, Zac Efron, Amanda Bynes, Elijah Kelly, John Travolta & Queen Latifah (From Hairspray)

These are some upbeat jazz songs. Hope this helps!!! :)

  5. When in doubt, go to YouTube. Type in "jazz dance" in search for example. You'll see like 100 dances people have done. You could use a song you like, or maybe the songs will remind you of something you already know.

Also, you don't want to do "sexier songs" for younger kids. Parents might be offended, so watch out. Seriously.

When you listen to a song, think of the dance that will go with it. Whenever I hear a song (any song really), a dance pops into my head.

Go to iTunes, and click the "Music" link in the store. Scroll down to find "iMixes". They're playlists people have made. Search for "acrobatics songs" for example.

    Good luck!
