Dancing Auditions??

Question

I want to become a professional dancer REALLY badly!

Does anyone know any auditions I could take to start

off my dancing career?? I'm 12, 5 foot 3 1/2 , and have

been dancing since I was 6. Or at least could you tell me a good place to prepare myself for So you Think you can Dance or some other audition??? I do ballet, gymnastics, and might

start Jazz. Thanks.PLEASE HELP!

ur still to young but you need its seems like your gonna need a lot more dance classes then one good luck anyway

good thing your taking dance one thing is that most preofetional dancer should most of the time have to be trained in Jazz you can prepare yourself by keep dancing your 12 too youg to be a profetional dancer

you need to do wayy more then just ballet and gymnastics. Expose yourself to all kinds of dance. On So You Think You Can Dance, they do cotemporary, hip hop, broadway style, jazz, latin, and others...ballet and gymastics is not enough. Start getting into a lot more classes. And go to dacne conventions! You get so much out of them! Amazing teachers and all kinds of dance. I was actually taught a contemporary routine by Tyce Dioro (a coregrapher from So You Think You Can Dance) at a dance convention! Lauren Gotlieb from last season taught a jazz class. I was taught a jazz by Nancy O'Meara, a lady who choregraphs for Ashley Tisdale, Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, Vanessa Hudgens and many others. The point is, go to the dance conventions, they'll help you a lot.

i auditioned for so you think you can dance. you need a butt load of technique and you have to work your butt into the ground everyday but take alot of ballet and jazz classes at a local studio, and work hard in those- stretch while your watchhing tv practice "bar" stuff in your house all the time....also make sure to watch the show to pick up on their styles and dance thru the music- most dancers dance to numbers you need to feel the music and let it flow.

you should go to acting classes for more character, do alot of research about studios in your area also do more variations of dancing like hip hop, tap (I Love tap!),lyrical,modern,ballroom and etc.
