  1. when you dance put a character in mind. it doesn't have to be dramatic, but picture yourself in an extravacant costume or take on a bit of an "alter-ego". allow yourself to dance freely on stage or in class without inhibitants.

feel the music and really DANCE!

focus on nothing but the music and the movement of your body.

perform, perform, perform! even if it's just at the barre or across the floor :)

    good luck :)

  2. i was the exact same about 2 and a half weeks ago, then i just started dancing in my mirror(sounds stupid i know) and i noticed thats what was making me so c**p, just find the beat in the song and start dancing along, smile and put some attitude into it, it does really help. Do it alll the time, whenever you here music, just dance and have fun, dont really care about what you look like, then you actually realise when you do look that you look gooood! just get some attitude in it and dance to the beat of the song.. hope i helped! :)

  3. im similar thts why i do irish dancing you have to be stiff

  4. You Need To Dance Like No-one is watching

and make sure you warm up and then stratch everytime you dnace because this will help you be more flexible and dance a lot better. You Need to try and be a different person  when you dance this is what i did and it works trust me

  5. I was really shy, too (when I first started). I realized that I was just carring too much about what other people thought of me. It took a long time, but now, whenever I dance, I feel really happy and excited. I also noticed that I could be really outgoing when I'm alone, but I was shy around anybody else. It REALLY agrivated me for a LONG time. Just enjoy yourself and you'll do great!
