Dancing. i just can't do it...?

Question

Alright im 13 and goin to high school. i am i think the worst dancer in the world. i went to my 8th grade dance and literally just sat there for 2 hours. im not goin to waste my time doiin that in homecomin or any of the other dances. i mean i got a reputation and ya basically i just wanted to know what could i do or if theres some video to learn how to easily and not embarisingly dance or somethin like that so thanks in advance for helping me or for at least givin it some thought

I don't know dude, I only took 13 years of Ballet, and 2 of Jazz.  Just start with the basics,

1) stand up

2) open your legs about 1 foot

3) Bouce up and down from left to right.

4) walk around in the area that you're provided with, either in your home practicing or in a school dance.

That's the basics for a school dance, if you want to you can move your arms a little bit.

close your door, express yourself with whatever type of music you like and just jammmm out. it maybe weird for guys to do that, i have never done it without the help of my best friend mary jane. but dont go that route mister, just dance. and trust me, homecoming, everyone dances with everyone and its not a soul train line going on where theres gonna be a spotlight on you

yo I had the same problem as you!

In gr 7-8 I would sit (most) of the dance cause I didnt know what to do.

Gr9 I just didnt bother going

Gr10 my friends forced me to go and this was when I decided during summer (b4 I go into gr11) I would learn to dance.

Just learn to breakdance. That way, whenever a good beat song comes on u can do ur moves.

It's actually not that hard to learn to do if u just practice hard and put in the effort.

I've been breakdancing for about 2 months now and I can do enough not to make a fool out of myself while dancing.

In about an year I'll b good enough to get some "wows" from the crowd !!

- I only bboy as a hobby though.

I felt that I should learn to do somekind of dance and breakdance was my choice :P
