Dandino delivers impressive performance in the Southern Daily Echo Tapster Stakes at Goodwood
Trained James Fanshawe, Dandino, delivered an impressive race in the Southern Daily Echo Tapster Stakes at Goodwood on 26th May, 2012, where he finished as a runner-up next to the Sir Michael Stoute’s charge, Sea Moon.
The son of Dansili, out of mare Generous Diana, was paired with rider Hayley Turner, and ran an incredible race with odds of 4 to 1, as he finished a head behind, Sea Moon.
The third place was secured by Berling, who fell five lengths behind the runner-up.
Trainer Fanshawe was really pleased with the way he performed as he told the press that:
"He's come out of the race fine, I'm very happy with him. He ran really well and I was delighted with him.
"Second is not much use to anyone, but there are occasions when you can come second and be pleased and this was one of those.
"He's in the Hardwicke and that's his most likely next race, but we'll see how he is nearer the time."
Elite Racing Club’s Dandino previously finished third in the Betfred Barry Hills "Further Flight" Stakes at Nottingham, where he missed the victory by 2 ¼ lengths to Electrolyser, and finished a head, Zuider Zee, in the event which took place on 11th April,
2012.
Over the course of his career, Dandino has competed in sixteen starts and triumphed six times. The brown horse still has a good number of years and looks keen on adding more victories to his record.
The five-year-old gelding is capable of landing bigger victories as he has proved himself worthy time and time again.
The runner was under the training of Nicky Henderson till 4th April, 2012, and suffered a major setback under his supervision.
He finished 9th in the Weatherbys Insurance Lonsdale Cup at York on 20th August, 2011, where he was ridden by jockey, Tom Queally but he has shown remarkable progress and from here onwards, he will move on his way
upward.
Dandino seems to have blossomed under Fanshawe’s command and will soon bag a victory.
