Dane Vilas not worried over Trinidad & Tobago's spin attack - Cricket News Update
The Cape Cobras wicketkeeper batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Dane-Vilas-c1307, is hopeful his side’s batsmen will ably counter the formidable spin attack of Trinidad and Tobago when they play the Caribbean side in their must win Champions League T20 match at the bowling friendly M A Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, on Tuesday, October 4, 2011.
The 26-year-old South African said that the Trinidad and Tobago attack is not completely unknown for them and they have their plans to counter it.
"Luckily, we are playing them at the end, so they're not a completely unknown entity," said Vilas while talking to media reporters at the pre-match media conference.
The South African wicketkeeper praised his side’s performance against Chennai Super Kings as well.

"We've done some work on them, they bowled brilliantly yesterday,” said Vilas. “I think the key to the game against Chennai was that they took the pace off (the ball) quite a lot. A lot of bowlers that we've faced have taken the pace off using different variations. So hopefully we've got that covered," the gloveman further added.
Replying to a query, the right-handed batsman said that they have not been a good fielding side in the tournament so far and need to improve in this area. He further added that the match against Trinidad and Tobago is like a quarterfinal for his side, and they would do everything possible to win the game and cement a spot in the final four.
Vilas also had his hopes attached with the Cape Cobras’ spin attack. He said that the Chennai and Bangalore wickets are quite different. The gloveman reckoned that the Chennai strip favours spinners, while the Bangalore wicket is batting friendly.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Cape-Cobras-c776 have 3 points in their account and stand at number 3 on the Group A points table. A win against the Caribbean side in today’s game would earn them 2 points, taking them to the top of the table alongside Mumbai Indians.
Mumbai also have 5 points from 4 games. However, a Cape Cobras defeat at the hands of Trinidad and Tobago Super Kings on Tuesday would confirm a spot for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians in the semis.
