My wife and I just had a kid. Her mom wants to intervene desperately. Several things concern me:
She doesn't speak English. If home alone with child how can she call 911 when they cannot understand her.
In her home country, she grew up in a village. She has no more than a 4th grade education and is illiterate in her own language. Anyway, she killed her first child by overfeeding it. She stuffed bread down a baby's mouth! She is so stupid and it is a sad, unnecessary loss of life. Neighbors and her grandparents mostly raised my wife because she didn't know how, especially after killing one child.
She's clumsy. I mean super clumsy. She dropped my wife down a flight of stairs when she was 3. Luckily she is not brain damaged but the mom does stuff like this all the time. She can't even use a fork and knife - she eats with her hands! It's unbelievable! And she is not developmentally challenged (I guess it depends on one's definition!).
She's lazy and crazy superstitious as well....
