With the warnings on the back of TV s, " that removing the back may result in electric shock "(when not connected to a powerpoint) is there something in there that can actually shock you ? If so what is in the back that can cause a shock? Or is the warning on the back in case someone tries to open the back up with it plugged into a powerpoint?

  1. YES, EVEN AFTER SWITCH OFF YOUR [OLD]TV,IN  CRT [TVS PICTURE TUBE]  CHARGE WILL BE THERE..SO IF YOU TOUCH THE CRT BACK [EHT CAP] YOU WILL GET HEAVY SHOCK[24KV],BUT NOWADAYS TV AVAILABLE IMMEDIATE DISCHARGE CIRCUIT  IN THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY. SO AFTER SWITHCH OFF [NEW] TV WAIT FOR 3 MINUTES,THEN NO CHARGES IN TO  IT.

  2. You can still recieve an electric shock with it unplugged....

There are several capacitors that store enough electricity to knock you....

And the RED anode wire will definitely stop a heart....I've been bitten several times and haven't died, but it's not smart to do this alone....
