  1. There is a risk but it is very low. Temporary files are meant to be cleaned up after a while. It will improve your computer's efficiency.

  2. There shouldn't be as long as you just delete temp files. I would try using ccleaner. It find and deletes the temp files that aren't needed and i have never had a problem. Also does registry fix's for old extensions (like dll's or programs you deleted) that can help speed things up a bit.

  3. Yeah you can .... But when you try to do it some times it will not allow you ,,

    try deleting in groups

    try stopping those process

  4. no, and why the h**l do u have 7 GBs left?

u can cleanup the temp files, and if ur still hesitating backup ur lptp

  5. Yes and no.  Well, really no, but with one caveat.  Some of those temporary files are doing things you want, for example, Office installs temporary files for installing new plugins when you try to access them for the first time.  If you delete these, then you will need the disk.  Also if you have hibernation enabled, if you delete your hibernation files, it will disable hibernation.  But you can use your disk to install office/other programs, and you can always reenable hibernation.  So other then those two(or if you see some other programs that have temp files and you want to keep them) you can delete everything else.
