Paraguay, just like Brazil went on to suffer a 0-0 draw against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ecuador-c2889 in their opening game. Based on that, Alves has decided to take the optimistic route and instead of blaming the team’s performance has stated that those draws just show how competitive
the tournament has been so far.
"The lack of goals just shows the balance of the Copa America. The teams have improved a lot," Alves said.
Nonetheless, despite that fact, Alves doesn’t expect a goalless draw against Paraguay, as he believes both teams will be looking to go all out and that would result in a highly contested, high scoring game.
Alves then went on to add:
"Paraguay is a team that likes to attack"
"I think that when we face opponents that also attack, the match is more open and gives you more possibilities."
Neymar is still insistent on the fact that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Venezuela-c3039, but it was the tight defending that the Venezuelans produced, that caused Brazil to falter in front on goal. However, he has gone on to vow that tight defending and
man marking is not going to get in his way again, as he is going to go ahead and give it his all, staring with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paraguay-c2979.
Neymar is quoted to have said: "It will be tough to irritate me. The marking on me will be the same as I face at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532. It's tough marking, with tough tackles. I was already prepared for this when I got here. We will prepare further so we can perform better
and walk out with a victory on Saturday"
Despite suffering a shock draw in their opening game, Brazil are still being hailed as the favourites going into the game with Paraguay and are also amongst one of the favourites to win the tournament on the whole.
The Brazilians have one of the best and most complete squads in the tournament. The team plays fast, quick paced attacking football and apart from it being a sight for sore eyes, it is also highly effective.
Should the team be able to play their free flowing football from here, on they are bound to march all their way to the top once the Copa America comes to an end.
