The Brazilian international has expressed his desire to retire at Barcelona.

He also stated that he would like to retire as a Barca player, but conceded that he is not aware of what the future may bring, and a transfer could take place if it complies with the interests of the club and the player.
The defender appeared quite proud of being part of the current Spanish champions and deemed the possibility of ending his career with them as an ideal situation.
Alves joined the Camp Nou outfit in the summer of 2008 and has managed to become a key member of the Barca squad.
His previous club was Sevilla, where the defender had quite a successful spell of 6 years and gained popularity as an excellent right back.
After joining La Blaugrana, the Brazilian’s career took a major turn and his time with the Catalan club has been a great success story so far.
Besides being a favourite among the Nou Camp faithful, the right-back has been instrumental in the success achieved by the UEFA Champions title holders.
Having made more than 100 official appearances for Barcelona, Dani Alves is currently one of the most important players for Josep Guardiola.
While talking to Sport, the 28-year-old stated:
"It is my objective to retire at Barcelona. I want to extend my stay here as long as possible and want to continue to fight for silverware. However, you never know what happens in football. One day a transfer is not even an option, and the next day you can
be on the move. I intend to retire at Barca, though."
The former Bahia player’s current contract with Barcelona binds him to the club until 2015.
