Dani Pedrosa expects strong start at Misano after Brno and Aragon tests – MotoGP news
Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda believes that their efforts during the Brno and Aragon tests will prove to be fruitful in the upcoming Italian Grand Prix.
He believes that the stability issues with the bike should have been resolved until now.
He said that they have been able to improve their bike and their efforts to improve the suspension and electronics of the bike will show results. He expects that they will be able to express impressive performance at the Italian circuit.
Pedrosa said, “In the past, our bike has been quite unstable there but I believe this year we have improved that. I hope the work we have done in the Brno and Aragon tests with suspension and electronics, can help us to start the weekend strong in Misano.”
The Spaniard said that the Italian circuit is tricky and bumpy. He added that it will require a lot of braking and good road grip. Besides, he said that they need to keep working hard in order to reduce the championship lead of Jorge Lorenzo, the Yamaha
Factory Racing rider.
The Spanish rider said that the grip level will not be easy because it is not stable during the day and it keeps changing.
“[It] is a tricky track, quite bumpy, with a lot of braking and accelerations. The grip level is always a challenge, because it changes a lot from the morning sessions to the afternoon,” he added.
Pedrosa had two extensive test sessions at Aragon and Brno. During the test they focused on stability and electronics of the bike. Currently, Pedrosa is the runner up in the championship and attains 232 points in the championship. He has been able to make
it to podium every time he has started a race in the current season except for once in the France Grand Prix where he ended at the fourth position.
Let’s see how the upcoming Italian GP turns out to be for the Spanish rider. Will he be able to reduce the championship lead of his old rival Jorge Lorenzo or will the Yamaha rider stretch his championship lead further remains to be seen.
