Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda attends Laguna Seca press meeting – MotoGP news
Repsol Honda team rider Dani Pedrosa attended at the press meeting held at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca ahead of the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix.
The tenth round of the 2011 MotoGP event calendar will initiate the second half of the ongoing season.
Pedrosa said, “The time to recover from the last race has been quite short. It was all on the left so my left side is quite sore but I will try to do my best here once again and to rest between sessions.”
Still recovering from pain since his Le Mans crash, Dani Pedrosa has well encountered his lack of strength in the last two rounds. After the Sachsenring event, he has not yet recovered from his aching left side of body and feels that this round will be even
tougher on his health.
The Spaniard who won the German Grand Prix with a marvellous performance in the second round of his comeback in the ongoing season was accompanied by fellow riders, teammate Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo, Nicky Hayden and Ben Bostrom of LCR Honda.
Pedrosa added, “I want to try and just have fun out there. Right now I am recovering and when you race in this kind of situation you also suffer because of pain. At the same time if we can get a good result I will enjoy it.”
After the German round, he briefly visited his home to celebrate his stunning performance with his family.
He is now back on track and wants to enjoy the improved, revamped factory Honda RCV. He missed the development process of the RCV during the three-event break. Considering the season start, the Repsol Honda bikes have grown even more competitive than before.
At Laguna Seca where he has stood winner in 2009, he will be aiming to maintain his superb performance that he displayed in the last event. After the crash, he has dropped to fifth place in the season standings but with a bright comeback, he hopes to fight
for the 2011 season title.
