Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda ecstatic after winning Japanese Grand Prix – MotoGP news
Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda won the Japanese Grand Prix edging Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha Factory in the middle of the race.
He tried to understand the bike and got his desired results. His teammate, Casey Stoner, remains unsatisfied with his 5th position at the Motegi circuit because he believes that his bike was doing great but he was not physically fit for the race.
The victory of Pedrosa further closed his gap with the championship leader Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha. He told that it was a hard race because the speed was considerable from the very beginning. He added that he had chatter from the bike yesterday and the issues
increased during the race however he managed to understand the bike and tried to stay with Lorenzo.
Later, during the race the Honda rider was able to get a better corner than the Yamaha rider and was eventually able to gain the lead which he sustained over the race. He told that the championship leader tried to stay with him but later Lorenzo changed
his motives and sustained his 2nd position in the race.
Moreover, he said that it is sad that the races are currently revolving between two riders only as no other rider is able to match their pace.
Pedrosa said, “We did what we needed to do and it's just a pity that there is no one else who can stay with us because every race I win, he's been second. But anyway, it's a great feeling to win races and we are doing it now.”
The other rider of Repsol Honda, Casey Stoner is not feeling great with his performance at the Japanese circuit as he believes that he could have attained better results. He told that he could have pushed the bike hard and stayed with the race leaders, Pedrosa
and Lorenzo, but his body was not supporting him as he had aches during the race.
Stoner said, “We had the pace to run a lot higher and be on the podium but unfortunately I couldn't manage it physically today. A big thanks to my team, they gave me a fantastic bike today but I couldn't do anymore in my condition.”
Let’s see how Stoner performs in the remainder of the season because he is the third rider who could battle for the top positions over the circuit.
