Dani Pedrosa seeks improvement in his bike prior to qualifying round at Aragon – MotoGP news
Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda seeks improvements in his bike prior to the qualifying round at the Aragon circuit.
The Honda rider is facing some grip and pace issues with his bike and will be looking forward to improve them in free practice 3 session of the Spanish Grand Prix.
He liked the feel of his bike at the Aragon circuit but faced some problems with the pace and rear grip. He wants to get it adjusted prior to the qualifying round scheduled a few hours from now.
Pedrosa said, “At least we had a full wet session this afternoon to work with the bike and I felt quite good. I was catching the pace step by step, even though the grip was not very high in the rear, and we still have to adjust the setting a little more
to improve in some corners.”
It has been forecasted that the qualifying round of the Spanish GP will also be wet therefore the Spanish rider wants to take full advantage from the FP3. He had been able to achieve the highest speed among other riders in the practice session 2 at his home
circuit.
“It looks like the weather forecast is also bad for tomorrow, so it will be important to take advantage of the morning practice to be well prepared for qualifying,” he added.
Pedrosa achieved a top speed of 330.5 km/h on the wet circuit. He has earlier said that he likes racing at his home circuit because of the crowd. He had a privately conducted extensive test session at Aragon in which he made important modification to his
machine. In the Spanish Grand Prix he crashed in the very first lap of the lap.
The crash proved to cause a severe damage to his title contention as mathematically it makes very difficult for the Italian rider to win the 2012 championship however Pedrosa believes that he wants to win races and will not be considering the mathematics
of the sport. He will be getting on the circuit to win the races in the remainder of the season. Let’s see how the Honda rider performs in the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix.
