Dani Pedrosa wants to put unfortunate memories behind at the Aragon circuit – MotoGP news
Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda wants to move on with the championship exhibiting convincing performances over the Spanish circuit in the upcoming Spanish Grand Prix.
He believes that thinking about the past performance does not feel great because the Italian Grand Prix is past now.
He was unable to finish the Italian GP due to a crash in the very first lap. He wants to forget the bad memories and desires to give impressive performance in the upcoming event. The Honda rider desires to keep focused on the five racing events scheduled
in the next two days which include the three practice sessions, the qualifying round and the main race on Sunday.
Pedrosa said, “The past is in the past. If you stick in the past, you can’t move forward. I’m trying to keep focussed on every session, every lap.”
The Honda rider participated in the private practice session at the same Aragon circuit and made important modifications with his bike. He anticipates that the bike is in good condition and wants to enjoy riding his Honda forgetting about the difference
in championship lead.
“We hope the bike is working well. I like to enjoy my riding, but obviously the championship is there. It is not such a good feeling when you only think about the points,” he added.
Furthermore, Pedrosa believes that thinking about the unfortunate incident at the Misano circuit does not give him a good feeling and he wants to move on with the event. The crash was devastating in terms of points because it dropped him with huge gaps in
the championship which are mathematically unachievable if the championship leader ends all the remaining grands prix attaining at least a second position.
The modifications they introduced in his bike during the privately conducted tests at Aragon leaves them with substantial advantages in attaining impressive speed and road grip over the circuit.
The two rivals have said that do not want to involve into the mathematics related to the sport rather they want to enjoy their ride over the upcoming event. It is expected that their ambition and rivalry will keep the sport interesting during the upcoming
event as they are the best match for each other.
