There is no mention on the main site as to who will [ if any ] fill his boots.

Neil is the only choice I think. Knows the track, did a full year on MotoGP, and is the only HRC rider worth his salt this year.

Or will they just field Nicky ? The real shame is, I think my last question is the correct one . Shame.

it's too late for a replacement rider, no practice time left...putting anyone on the bike now would be a waste of time on Hondas part..

If Pedrosa admitted defeat yesterday it might of happened, probably just run Hayden, sadly. He was doing brilliantly at Germany, for a while too.

I would love to have seen Neil on his seat, but I think it's a bit late in the day for that. Pity, Neil & Jamie Hacking certainly seem to be the "best of the rest" in AMA at the moment.

I would love to have seen Dani race too, but I think he's done the sensible thing by pulling out. Judging by his free practice times it would have been a tall order to even get a couple of points at a track as demanding as Laguna Seca, and risk further injury to boot!

He's better off making a full recovery ready for Brno. I still think Dani could win the chamoinship if Honda get that pneumatic valve engine sorted properly, once Nicky has sorted out the gremlins.
