Daniel Alves to leave Barcelona for Chelsea during the Summer Transfer Window
The Brazilian full back who is taken to be one of the best right backs in the world at the moment, Daniel Alves is going to be a part of a transfer during the summer transfer window. The Brazilian’s agent said that the club wanted to give him a new contract
but there are still trying to finalize the terms and conditions. With such rumours spreading all over Europe, teams like Chelsea and Manchester City were on high alert as they require the assistance of a perfect full back.
Daniel Alves was a part of the UEFA Champions League winning campaign under Josep Guardiola when Barcelona won six trophies in the same season. The Catalan giants bought the full back from the fellow Spanish side Sevilla who sold the player for 32 million
Euros. Obviously after the transfer, he was able to put an increase in his value and Daniel Alves is definitely a player who can change the cause of the game.
With Chelsea playing Ashley Cole on the left flank and Ivanovic on the right flank, Daniel Alves can be the perfect fit for the blues. Alex and John Terry looked to be injury prone at the moment and Terry is often seen sitting on the bench alongside the
Brazilian centre back Alex. Obviously it is up to Ivanovic to take the duties in the centre and with Ashley Cole and Daniel Alves performing for them on the flanks, they are definitely going to change things round.
A Chelsea scout member was seen sitting in the game which Barcelona played against Almeria during the weekend. With the contract talks collapsing between the player and the Catalan giants, things are definitely going to change for both. The Brazilian can
easily make a move to Chelsea who are looking forward for a right back in their squad and Manchester City are also looking forward for a defender as their defensive walls are not strong enough to stop threats from teams like Arsenal, Manchester United and
Chelsea; however, Daniel Alves is a “big club” player and he is definitely going to consider a move to Chelsea who are currently sitting at the top of the table.
Barcelona do not have a replacement for Daniel Alves at the moment but whenever the full back is not featuring on the right flank it is the newly signed Sevilla player Adriano who does feature for him. However, he is not a full-time replacement for Daniel
Alves and Barcelona are going to try their level best to settle the Brazilian down with a new contract as the current one is going to expire in 2011. However, the question still remains whether he is willing to join Chelsea in the summer? The move is definitely
going to be one of the biggest shockers for all the teams in Europe. However, in case Barcelona can make the full back put pen on paper he is definitely going to be good for Barcelona.
