Barry took a total of 3 hours, 52 minutes and 23 seconds to cover the distance of 147.5 kilometres. Joseph Rosskopf of Type 1 Development was the runner-up.
After winning the stage, Barry said, “We are very pleased with having a third win, the guys were all really pleased how the race turned out and we are thrilled that it worked out the way that it did. But keeping the yellow jersey was the main thing that we were hoping for today."
Cameron Cogburn of Mt Borah Custom Apparel/Minerv finished third with a difference of 3 seconds, while Chris Baldwin (Bissell Pro cycling) was in the fourth place with a difference of 5 seconds.
Shem Rodger (Pure Black Racing) was in good form and tried to take a lead, but failed to maintain his pace and grabbed the 18th spot with a difference of 12 seconds, ahead of Tim Gudsell and Glen Chadwick.

A group of three cyclists, Keck Baker (XO Communications/Battley H-D), Ben Jacques-Maynes (Bissell Pro Cycling) and Joseph Rosskopf (Team Type 1 Development), made their first breakaway
All of them gained a lead of few seconds over the peloton, but Kech Baker showed his good effort and was able to take the first and second sprint of the stage ahead of Ben Jacques-Maynes.
In the last kilometres, Pure Black racing team increased his pace at the front of the field and kept Chris Baldwin in check. In the third KOM of the day, Baldwin launched attack on the breakaway riders. Barry increased his pace and worked with the two riders, Rosskopf and Cogburn.
With five kilometres to go, Baldwin took an advantage of 1 minute, but Barry crossed the finish line first ahead of the other cyclists.
Bissell DS Omer Kem said, "As the breakaway was about to get caught, he was able to try and go again, and take the three strongest riders from the original breakaway with him. They put in a good effort down the descent into Altoona but there was a collective effort from behind."
