Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho defeat CM Punk and Sheamus – WWE News
Monday Night Raw SuperShow featured a tag team contest that had World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan along with Chris Jericho vs. WWE Champion CM Punk and Sheamus. Team Bryan won the bout by Jericho pinning Punk via rollover.
The match started with Punk and Jericho trying to prove who is the ‘Best in the World’. Both the superstars exchanged claims and brutally attacked each other. Both of them were extremely furious over each other and for a while, it seemed like they forgot
it is a tag team match. However, Sheamus and Bryan found their way in somehow. Next in line to combat was Sheamus against Jericho. He delivered a reversed bulldog to Y2J and launched his knee-first into the turnbuckle. By this time, Y2J had enough of the Celtic
warrior and he tagged Bryan to take him over.
Sheamus and Bryan then fought for a while until they went outside the ring. Sheamus hammered his Submission Specialist with a double-axehandle. Inside the ring, Jericho tried putting his Walls of Jericho but Punk reversed it. However, somehow Y2J managed
to rollover Punk and pin him. Jericho’s trick worked and he won the game. He then picked up the WWE Championship and pointed it towards Punk. Punk, who fell prey to Jericho’s manoeuvres, was simply surprised with whatever had happened.
Jericho is the number 1 contender to face CM Punk on WrestleMania 28. Similarly, Sheamus is the number 1 contender to face Daniel Bryan at the mega event. It should be noted here that Y2J has been harassing Punk for the last few weeks trying to show him
low and tell the world that he is the best. However, Punk has countered his attacks saying he is ‘the best wrestler’ while Y2J can be ‘the best at whatever he does’. On last Raw’s show, both men had a quarrel over the slogan Punk is wearing these days which
apparently was created by Jericho. While Jericho tried to persuade Punk that he is the best, Punk had his own ways of showing Jericho the floor.
As of now, Jericho is the better man since he has defeated one at least this time.
