Daniel Day Lewis a good pick to play the main villain in Nolan's next Batman?

He would play a brilliant villain, but given his previous role selection and tendency to wait a very long time for the right script to come along, I can't see him signing on to play a goof ball comic book movie bad guy in a third installment of a new Batman franchise.  Just not his kind of gig.

I'd be very surprised and excited if he did.

It would depend on which villain.  I can see Daniel Day Lewis playing say The Riddler, but he would be kind of absurd trying to play Killer Croc or Bane.

as mentioned above, i cant see him signing on to play a supervillain when his previous roles are so serious and arty. it would be amazing if he did but it wont happen. it will probably be johnny depp as the riddler instead

I think he'd be a great Riddler, but it's way way too early to even think about a new film in general, much less plot, much less actors!

I heard he was brilliant in "There Will Be Blood", so he's probably worth considering.
