Daniel Fogg pockets Men’s 1500m freestyle gold – 2013 British International
Daniel Fogg of Loughborough University pocketed the gold medal of the Men’s 1500m freestyle of the 2013 British International in Leeds, UK, on Friday, March 8.
Fogg stayed in a comfortable lead over his closest swimmer throughout the race and made his way towards the wall for the title. With his alluring efforts, he stayed in a prominent lead over his following swimmer and made his way towards the finishing end
for a well deserved gold medal.
He remained in a lead of three body lengths over his closest competitor and cruised his way towards the finishing end for a gold medal with a time of 15 minutes and 26.93 seconds.
The champion was followed by Caleb Hughes of Hatfield, who stayed 3.03 seconds slower from his former finisher and tapped the wall for a silver medal with a time of 15 minutes and 29.96 seconds.
The second best finisher was traced by Stephen Milne of Perth City, who was nearly three and a half body lengths behind and posted a time of 15 minutes and 33.51 seconds for a bronze medal.
Fourth best spot of the race was obtained by Joel Knight of Millfield, who was only 0.03 seconds slower from his former finisher and hit the wall with a time of 15 minutes and 33.54 seconds.
Fifth position of the race was obtained by Ferry Weertman of the Netherlands, who was one and a half body lengths slower from his foregoing finisher and clocked an effort of 15 minutes and 34.84 seconds.
Weertman was followed by Thomas Sunter of Co Sheffield, who was almost nine seconds behind and ended his race in sixth place with a time of 15 minutes and 43.36 seconds.
Seventh spot of the race was obtained by Jack Burnell of Loughborough University, who was only two body lengths behind and posted a time of 15 minutes and 45.93 seconds.
Last position of the race was obtained by Nicholas Grainger of Co Sheffield, who was unable to upset any of his opponents and posted a time of 15 minutes and 46.22 seconds.
Furthermore, the position holders received medals and accolades after the session.
