Daniel Geale: I will silence Osumanu Adama in the ring and will defend my title – Boxing news
Daniel Geale, the current International Boxing Federation’s middleweight title holder, has decided to teach his March 7, 2012 opponent, Osumanu Adama, a lesson for disgracing a champion and has vowed to defend his title in the 12-round bout.
Daniel will enter in his second title defence bout and will take on Adama in the ring stretched at Derwent Entertainment Centre situated in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Geale, infamous as the Real Deal, has been in a total 27 bouts and came out victorious
in 26. He has collected 15 of his wins by knockout and has won various apex middleweight titles.
In a recent interview Daniel was a bit raged at Adama’s insolence and commented that he wants to tell him how a champion should be respected and pre-mature comments should not be aired no matter how tough and talented you are.
It must be recalled that Adama, the Ghanaian 31-year-old current International Boxing Organization (IBO) International middleweight champion, dubbed Daniel as a ‘ballet dancer’. In addition the ‘Ozzie Adams’ punned that he has not witnessed even a single
footage with Daniel in action since he is not a prolific brawler who must be understood or viewed in order to be beaten.
Things got worse when Adama’s trainer, Joseph Awionga, said that he is ready to finalise the rematch contract. On Tuesday, Daniel replied all the taunting comments and said, “It is disrespectful. But I’ve got my time to show that and the time to show that
is in the ring. I’ll get it back when it counts.”
Daniel while sharing his enthusiasm said that he is feeling completely fit and has never felt such powerful, and agile. Geale, who currently is Australia’s number one and world number four ranked middleweight commented, “It’s been a long training camp, I’ve
been working really hard and I can’t wait to get in there. I’m feeling a hundred per cent, the body’s great and I’ve done everything perfectly this time. Mentally, I’m exactly where I need to be.”
Adama has been in a total 22 bouts and came out victorious in 20. He is a lethal knockout specialist and has collected 15 of his wins by knocking the opponent out cold. The duo will collide in the pay-per-view compiled and promoted by Bill Treacy of Grange
Old School Boxing and the bout will be televised on Wednesday March 7, 2012 on Australia Main Event show.
