and local participant stole the show in approximately one hour and 24 minutes.
The 27-year-old Spanish displayed some good quality tennis since the beginning of the set and broke his Czech senior’s first serve. Traver blasted away the veteran and reeled off in the opener with his classic
game plan. He took advantage of the opportunity and again ruined his rival’s serve in the fifth game to stamp a 4-1 lead. Although, Pospisil was very precise with his ground strokes at the start, displaying several unexpected hunches in his precision and resultantly
made several unforced errors. Traver pinched his rival at several instances and booked down a 6-3 score line at the end.

points. His rival double faulted three times in the opening set, manifesting 59 percent first serve points. He snatched one of the two serve breaks and 11 of 22 points.

set. Initially, the right-hander Spaniard exhibited an average performance but later as he rediscovered his winning grove, then there was no turning back and ultimately concluded the set with a 6-2 win.
Pospisil had 69 percent initial serve accuracy, with 10 of 18 first and three of eight second delivery points. On the other hand, Traver had a relatively lower initial serve precision of 57 percent, converting
