Daniel Guyurta wins Men’s 50m breast-stroke event in Debrecen - Hungarian Long Course Nationals
Daniel Guyurta came out strongly and nabbed the Men’s 50m breast-stroke event, in the final meet on day two of the Hungarian Long Course Nationals at Debrecen, Hungary, on Friday, June 24.
Guyurta edged out Gabor Financsek and Richard Bodor in the corresponding race and touched the finishing wall in a sterling time of 28.50 seconds. The win also elevated him to top spot in the international swimming rankings of the current year.
While speaking about his performance in the Men’s 50m breast-stroke meet, Hungarian swimmer, Guyurta, expressed that it was a very close race and he won the match with a fringe margin of 0.18 seconds.
Gabor Financsek was not disappointed with his effort in the corresponding meet as he touched the finishing wall in a time of 28.68 seconds. Meanwhile, Richard Bodor earned third place honours in the 50m breast-stroke category with a time of 28.75 seconds.
Earlier, Biczo snared the Men’s 200m butterfly gold medal with an impressive time of 1 minute and 54.79 seconds, while Risztov captured the Women’s 800m freestyle title after she touched the finishing wall in a sterling time of 8 minutes and 29.23 seconds.
Risztov also won the Women’s 400m freestyle meet with a time of 4 minutes and 07.99 seconds, whereas, Gergo Kis snagged the Men’s 400m freestyle crown with a time of 3 minutes and 49.98 seconds. Amazingly, he also won the Men’s 1500m freestyle crown after
he ended his swim with a scintillating time of 15 minutes and 15.82 seconds.
Takacs clinched the Men’s 50m freestyle meet with an undisputed time of 22.43 seconds, whereas, Buczek nabbed the Women’s 200m breast-stroke crown with a time of 2 minutes and 34.27 seconds.
Verraszto earned first place honours in the Women's 50m butterfly with a time of 27.37 seconds, while Bernek settled first in the Men’s 200m back-stroke with a time of 1 minute and 58.51 seconds. Finally, Povazsi clinched the Women’s 50m back-stroke meet
after she touched the finishing wall in a winning time of 29.57 seconds.
