Daniel Gyurta and Gergo Kis excel in Men’s events at the 2011 Hungarian Long Course Nationals 
Daniel Gyurta and Gergo Kis excelled their performances in the Men’s events on the concluding day of the 2011 Hungarian Long Course Nationals. The session included the finals of Men’s 200m breast-stroke, 200m Individual medley (IM), 4*100m medley relay and
the 50m butterfly.
The session kicked-off with the 200m breast-stroke, where A Jovo SC Veolia’s Daniel Gyurta touched the wall in a sterling time of 2 minutes and 10.45 seconds to pocket the title of the event. He was followed by his team-member, David Verraszto, who followed
him on the finishing wall to occupy the silver medal on the podium, by producing a time of 2 minutes and 15.42 seconds. They were followed by BACSVIZ-KVSC-KESI’s Peter Tejes, who stayed almost five seconds slower from the second position holder and stepped
on the podium for the bronze medal, by posting a time of 2 minutes and 20.15 seconds.
Gergo Kis of Raja 94 Uszoklub finished his swim in a spectacular time of 2 minutes and 02.46 seconds to earn the gold medal of the 200m IM. Kis remained the undisputed swimmer throughout the race and displayed a title winning effort. Gergely Gyurta of A
Jovo SC Veolia was the second fastest swimmer, as he completed his swim in a fabulous time of 2 minutes and 03.65 seconds. Gyurta edged out his closest competitor, Peter Nagy, with a difference of 0.31 seconds. Nagy, who failed to overcome Gyurta’s effort,
occupied the podium for the bronze medal, by clocking a time of 2 minutes and 03.96 seconds.
Next was the 4*100m Medley relay, where Kobanya Sport Club emerged as the fastest team to secure the golden crown, by touching the wall in a time of 3 minutes and 41.55 seconds. They were followed by Dunaferr – DVSI, who pocketed the silver medal of the
event, by posting a time of 3 minutes and 54.69 seconds. FTC emerged on the finishing wall as the bronze medallist, as they finished their swim in a time of 3 minutes and 59.72 seconds.
The final event of the session was 50m butterfly, where Kobanya’s Laszlo Cseh earned the gold medal of the event in a time of 23.78 seconds. He was followed by Bence Pulai and Krisztian Takacs, who completed their swims in the second and third fastest times
of 24.52 and 24.53 seconds, respectively.
The session concluded after the remarkable efforts of international swimmers, while the winners were awarded awards and accolades for podium finishes in their respective events.
