Daniel Madwed dominates Men’s 200m butterfly heat: Day two – 2011 USA Swimming Long Course Nationals
Day two of the 2011 USA Swimming Long Course Nationals witnessed the scintillating splash of CWMI’s swimmer, Daniel Madwed in Paloalto, California, on Wednesday, August 3.
The final session of the preliminary heats organised the Men’s 200m butterfly race, in which Madwed gave his best attempt and won the heat with a winning time of 1 minute and 57.59 seconds. Davis Tarwater of MACNC finished second in 1 minute and 57.81 seconds,
while Thomas Luchsinger of TVASCMR settled third on the podium in 1 minute and 58.08 seconds.
Tyler Clary of FASTCA finished fourth in 1 minute and 58.17 seconds, while Dakota Hodgson of NACSE settled fifth in a time of 1 minute and 58.81 seconds. Mark Dylla of ABSCGA was placed sixth in a time of 1 minute and 58.85 seconds, whereas, David Mosko
of STANPC settled seventh in a time of 1 minute and 58.98 seconds.
Matthew Bartlett of SAGA was placed eighth in a time of 1 minute and 59.11 seconds, while Michael Flach of CASC grabbed the ninth spot in 1 minute and 59.20 seconds. Robert Bollier of STANPC finished tenth on the podium in 1 minute and 59.21 seconds.
In the Men’s 200m butterfly B heat, Robert Margalis of FASTCA secured top spot with a time of 1 minute and 59.63 seconds. Meanwhile, Taylor Camp of NACSE finished second in 2 minutes and 00.78 seconds, whereas, Corey Okubo of AZOTCA settled third in a time
of 2 minutes and 00.90 seconds.
Seth Stubblefield of CALPC earned fourth place honours with a winning time of 2 minutes and 00.91 seconds. Thomas Shields of CALPC finished fifth in 2 minutes and 00.97 seconds. Benjamin Hinshaw of PASAPC was placed sixth in 2 minutes and 01.05 seconds.
Matthew Houser of UVAAVA finished seventh in 2 minutes and 01.17 seconds and Joshua Prenot of SMSCCA earned eighth place in 2 minutes and 01.23 seconds.
Ryan Feeley of BADMR finished first in the 200m butterfly C heat in 2 minutes and 01.34 seconds. Cameron Martin of UN09FL finished second in 2 minutes and 01.34 seconds, while Eduard Galdeanocastillo settled third in 2 minutes and 01.47 seconds.
